We've all seen the mainstream media coverage of the anti-war protests this weekend... Right Thinking (from the Left Coast) posts some firsthand ground-level photos from the rally in a piece he calls "Live from Baghdad", parts one and two. Pretty entertaining stuff. Lots of diversity, creativity, and color, poorly-thought-through signs, and, apparently, anti-semitism. Obviously, Lee has his own reactions as well. (Thanks to the Insomnomaniac.) Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Chicago-school economist "Jane Galt", addressing the fact that the protests were sponsored by the despot-friendly socialist group International ANSWER, gives some thoughtful comments on why she feels that its important to consider the goals and beliefs of protest organizers before jumping right in. Update: Glenn Reynolds references protest numbers which reveal the number of visitors to a Detriot auto show "dwarfs" the total number of US protestors. A series of links also reveals a farily even-handed page explaining more about International ANSWER. Add your two cents...
