The American soldiers entered the hotel to search for Ba'athist soldiers. As they entered the lobby, we could see the scene from the lens of the SkyNews video camera in tow.

In the center of the lobby, near a group of Iraqis, an American woman is screaming at the top of her lungs, voice cracking, in a tone of shock and horror: "These are CIVILIANS!!! There are WOMEN and CHILDREN HERE!!! These are WOMEN AND CHILDREN!!! Don't shoot!!! These are WOMEN AND CHILDREN!!!" Through the lens we can see a group of women and children holding their hands in their air, surrendering to the troops. Their hands are shaking -- clearly, by the tone of the American woman next to them, they expect to be killed by the evil soldiers.

The soldiers are more nonchalant. They ignore the sceaming American woman, and spread around the lobby, searching for Iraqis with guns. In the background, we can see several Arabic- or Iraqi-looking gentlemen, nestled deep in comfortable chairs, talking amicably as if nothing more were happening than a group of soldiers walking through the lobby of a hotel. Which, screaming American 'human shield' aside, is exactly what is going on.

Clearly, the woman had more fear of soldiers from her own country than the other foreigners in the lobby did.
