A recent study reports that creatine, a dietary supplement which occurs naturally in meats boosts brain power, at least in the short term: "Creatine supplementation gave a significant measurable boost to brain power" it finds. (What does that imply about vegetarians who don't take the supplement?) A previous study reported that creatine reduced the seriousness of head trauma among athletes. The only long-term concern I might have about creatine supplementation is that not clear if or how well the body will resume producing it naturally afterwards.
