Kerry Campaign is Shameless

The latest absolutely shameless manipulation from the Kerry campaign: Josh Chafetz exposes a mass e-mail from the Kerry campaign entitled "Disgusting" which says:

Yesterday, the Bush-Cheney campaign, losing any last sense of decency, placed a disgusting ad called "The Faces of John Kerry's Democratic Party" as the main feature on its website. Bizarrely, and without explanation, the ad places Adolf Hitler among those faces.

The Bush-Cheney campaign must pull this ad off of its website. The use of Adolf Hitler by any campaign, politician or party is simply wrong.

Wonder why the Bush campaign video contained a clip of Hitler? Because Bush was showing a clip from moveon.org video which likened him to der Fuhrer!

Both campaigns have their share of over-the-top supporters, and I don't think it's really fair to tar Kerry with Michael Moore and MoveOn.Org. That said, it's really unfair of the Kerry Campaign to suggest that Bush is comparing Kerry supporters to Hitler, when in fact all he's doing is pointing out that Kerry supporters have compared him to Hitler.

If that kind of behavior is really, as Kerry claims, "disgusting", "indecent", and "wrong" then Kerry needs coming out and condemning the leftists who work hand-in-glove with his campaign, running such "disgusting" attack ads.

Chafetz thinks this is a matter of incompetence. I have trouble seeing how that could be so.

Update: I've changed my mind on this: Kerry is clearly colluding with MoveOn.org and Michael Moore. Moore was seated in the Presidential Box at the DNC convention, next to Carter, and Kerry's been swapping staff with MoveOn.org, and Kerry's staff (Stephanie Cutter) calls groups like this their "surrogates".

A - Jesus rode a donkey, not an elephant

Trite slogans are a way of avoiding serious thought.

B- taking things out of context was one of the prime methods to create propaganda

Yes, it is, and you should be shocked and angered at the DNC's use of it here. But I doubt you're that consistent.

C- a president is not a semi-religious csacred figure but someone who should do his job FOR the people.

In a free country, a man or woman is free to act on whatever principles they see fit. You, on the other hand, apparently seek to prevent any people who hold religous principles from participating in leadership. You are thus a censor, and an opponent of our first ammendment.

Got some quotes for ya here, who said 'em?

“What students would learn in American schools above all is the religion of Jesus Christ.”

"It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and Bible."

"It is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favors."

Those were from George too. Washington that is. The man who created the US Presidency certainly didn't think a man was supposed to be quiet about his religious views.

Learn some history, or you're going to help us all repeat the worst parts of it, 'kay?

If the Republican Convention is an indication, there were 20,000 delegates but more than ONE MILLION protesters. Who is doing a job for whom?

If the behavior and goals of those protestors are an indication, we're headed for a totalitarian police state sometime soon.

D - if you read even this far, I am surprised.

Perhaps you should then consider that your stereotypes are incorrect.

Because the second favoritye propaganda tactics is to ignore dissent and sqash it.

No, friend, again, that's actually yours: I doubt you've seriously considered a single conservative argument which disagrees with your worldview.

Show how wrong I am and debate me, seriously and honestly, on any issue where we disagree. You can choose.

Otherwise, you are simply projecting your own faults onto your alleged enemies, demonstrating that it is actually you who would rather ignore opinions which don't agree with yours.
