Kerry Cheated in Debate?

Well, if this is true, I guess this shouldn't come as a suprise at all. But strangely, it does. I guess shock is always a healthy reaction to this kind of nonsense. Oh, and kudos to the guys at INDC Journal for dredging this one up:

John Kerry Violated Debate Rules

John Kerry brought prohibited material into last Thursday's Presidential Debate. From section 5, pages 4-5 of the binding "Memorandum of Understanding" (pdf file) that was negotiated and agreed upon by both political campaigns...

Read it. Also some good links to frame-by-frame photos.

Funny, seems I just wrote:

"We'll do what we have to," and damn any agreements we might have made or rules we should comply with. And if we must comply, we'll look for the tiniest technicalities to negate the purpose...

Will to power, folks.

And we can't have obvious performance indicators visible to -- you know -- the American public. We wouldn't want them getting the idea our guy can't follow the rules. Just in case, you know, he can't.

Apparently, he can't.

Folks, please try to understand this: If Kerry cheats in matters this trivial, what makes you think he won't screw us all us for some more sizeable benefit? If he can't follow the ethical rules for a debate, why would we think he would follow the rules of ethical behavior for being president? If we, the American people, can't trust him to keep a promise negotiated with his "enemy" the Republicans, why should hostile foreign powers trust him to keep his promises negotiated with them?

Please, American people: Wake up. Please get a clue about what you're going to be doing to yourself if you put this guy in power.

Comments

"(c) No props, notes, charts, diagrams, or other writings or other tangible things may be brought into the debate by either candidate."

Since cloths are "tangible things", both candidates should have entered the debate room naked. This implies that the "Memorandum of Understanding" is a call to violate the laws of the US.

One can only appreciate that the candidates had the decency to not follow all the rules contained in this questionable text.
