I'm visiting my mom. She's in her 60's. She seems to have picked up a new term lately: mainline. I think she's used it something like 20 times today, for everything from chocolate chip cookies to tea to pudding. In the first person.

Most recent example, regarding whether she likes Famous Amous brand chocolate chip cookies:

"If I'm going to mainline them, I'll go for raw cookie dough."

I find the imagery quite disconcerting.

And really, she has all her teeth.
