"Dean" at World Magazine Blog notes some rather amazing behavior by NARAL (the National Abortion Rights League). It seems Pennsylvania will be recognizing a "Chastity Awareness Week", apparently reminding kids that one valid option is not to have sex. NARAL urges supporters to write to the state legislature and demand either "comprehensive sex education" or the legislature send them... a chastity belt. (You can't make this stuff up.) Of course, the implication that the kids are not being taught about the existence of birth control is undoubtedly a fiction -- it's only one week in which abstenance is being mentioned, for heaven's sake. And it's kind of dishonest to say you're demanding "comprehensive" sex education when you're really trying to stop one particular option from being presented. So, let's see if we can figure this out: An abortion-advocacy group, undoubtedly funded by those who make lots of money doing abortions, goes apoplectic at the idea that children might -- for just one week -- be reminded that not having sex is an option, too. Now why on earth might that be??? Remember: They want to keep abortion safe, legal and rare. Sure they do. Add your two cents...
