You know, just when I'm having a nice week I have to hear about ugly stuff like this -- in which two professors from the Kennedy School of Government and Chicago University explain that America is really being secretly controlled by the Jews. The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune are all in thrall to the powerful "Israel Lobby"...
How else could we possibly explain why these publications don't run many editorials FAVORING the PLO or Hamas? Could it be, maybe, because of the atrocious track record of these notoriously violent and corrupt organizations? Or the fact that they won't accept any compromise short of total annihilation of another nation, Israel? Or the difficulty in praising the civil rights records or political policies of nations like Saudi Arabia or Syria? No! Any imbalance can only be expained by a nefarious secret Jewish plot to control the media! Hmmmm... where have we heard that conspiracy theory before? ![]() [Nazi depiction of rich Jews controlling the German media, blanketing a German city in pro-Jewish propaganda. Thanks to The Religious Policeman blog.] Isn't this obvious? Why can't people see these obvious parallels? The left is screaming "Nazi! Nazi!" about anyone who disagrees with them, and yet, here it is, old-style Nazi propaganda right in their midst. Do they reject these guys? So far, since both are strongly anti-Bush, their views can be found alongside prominent lefties like Chomsky, Howard Zinn, and Joe Wilson. But I'm sure there will be a rousing condemnation from the left any moment now... <crickets chirping> Any moment now...
The same can be said of the cartoon I published above: The image depicts a town awash in Jewish propaganda. Yet one can't help noticed that the existence and publication of the cartoon itself -- along with so many similar cartoons, posters and articles from that era -- serves as it's own refutation. I actually WAS curious about the caption, Varenius. Thank you much. Posted by: Tim (Random Observations) on April 3, 2006 10:47 PM Add your two cents...

In case anyone's curious, the title above the cartoon translates as "Picture Book of 'The Good Old Times'". I assume that's a sarcastic reference to the time before the Nazis took power. (The Religious Policeman states that the image is from 1934, and as you might know they took power in 1933.)
