Still, she says: “It’s a very hard procedure, because the baby is moving, and you are chasing it. That is what is very emotional — when the baby is moving and you are chasing it."
... The lesbian couple ends up selecting for sex. They want a boy and a girl. One of them is worried about the karma of what they are doing, particularly after one of the little ones they selected to terminate is moving and waving.
It continues to blow me away the amount of hypocrisy and and irresponsibility we show as a society in regards to sex and children. It used to be that people had got pregnant because they wanted children. It used to be that people made the connection that if you had sex it just might result in a baby. Sadly some people view pregnancy as some kind of disease that can be cured. Other people seem to think that you can special order your children. You can decide if you want one or four, you can decide that you want a son instead of a daughter (when they do that in China we think they're evil by the way). It makes me ill that people think children are expendable. That they find it acceptable to kill them off when they're not convenient or exactly what we expected. People can talk about not having financial resources. But really if my parents had waited until they could afford to have a family they never would have had kids. That says a lot to me because if they listened to all this crap out there I wouldn't exist. The worst part is that there are other solutions. If you're really not ready for a baby, you don't have to kill it, you can put it up for adoption (and with the rising infertility rates there are plenty of couple out there looking for children). Maybe I don't get it. After all I got pregnant to have a baby not a special order. I don't care if it turns out there are four in there or if it's a boy or a girl. People can say what they want but my baby is a baby right now. The obvious proof of the being in the article itself. Generally non- living, soulless things don't have to be chased around to be killed.
