If that's a bit vague, it's a reference to sports like soccer, where a player can use his head, which everyone tends to watch, to look like he's going on one direction. But the hips, his center of gravity, will always tell the real story.
Similarly, I've always felt it was an individual's subtle, small, unnoticed and often unreported gestures which spoke more than grand, scripted speeches intended for mass consumption.
As if to make sure his amigo bueno Fidel got the bouquet, Obama then proceeded to pull the plug on the highly popular "Freedom Message" ticker on the US mission building in Havana. Twenty-five feet long, its bright red letters emblazoned in the sky, the ticker's inspiring words of encouragement from democratic leaders like Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, and Lech Walesa had served as a beacon of hope for the Cuban people. But, alas, that was clearly not the kind of "hope" Barack Obama intended to foster.
I didn't know about that. Very sad, and doesn't bode well.
I've read your post in reverse order from Gateway Pundit to Obama and Freedom, and had to let out a deep audible breath. During his candidacy the best way I could describe President Obama was 'shady as hell.' I had hoped that becoming President would force him to straighten up as reality would most certainly bare upon him, but I see nothing of the sort. Obviously he is operating from a different world view (perhaps reality), but I just couldn't imagine that his agenda would be so subversive against the traditional values and image that America has projected throughout the world... Values such as truth, freedom, and justice. (Sure not every one agreed, but who cared what Hugo Chavez thinks) He is so determined to undermine so much of what America has stood for. I shutter to think of what America and the world will look like 3.25 years from now.
Austin!

A Chicago politician? Shady? You *must* be pulling my leg... ;-)

It's gonna be a long 3.25 years, I fear. :-/
